AI-NATIVE SOFTWARE ENGINEER 

We are Bobcats Coding, an AI Engineering company. We design and build digital products that actually get shipped. Mobile apps, web platforms, AI-powered tools, chatbots, and prototypes. From idea to production.

We are looking for a Senior AI Native Engineer to work with us on project-based, freelance engagements. Someone who treats AI as a core building block, not an add-on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will join client projects where AI is part of the product and the process, not just the demo. You will:
 

  • build software with modern methods, using AI as a development partner

  • decide where AI adds value and where it doesn’t

  • use AI as a development partner, not a shortcut
     

This is a senior role. You’ll work independently, make decisions, and own outcomes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’re a strong engineer first — who happens to be AI-native. 

You:

  • have senior-level development experience (TypeScript, Python, or similar)

  • work comfortably and independently on clearly scoped projects

  • let AI do the heavy code-lifting while you focus on reviewing, guiding and refining

  • know how to prompt AI tools to produce production-quality code

  • actively use AI-assisted dev and testing tools​

  • have solid architectural judgement

    • you know when to give AI freedom

    • and when to put specific guardrails in place

  • have hands-on experience building with LLMs and applied AI

  • understand the principles of prompt/context engineering

  • communicate confidently in English​​

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH

  • RAG systems

  • Vector databases 

  • LLM orchestration or agent workflows

  • AI evaluation, monitoring, guardrails

  • Working in studio, agency or consulting environments

  • Helping teams improve their AI proficiency

  • Senior Developers with 6+ years of experience in software development

  • Strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Frontend focus (React, Angular, Vue, Next.js), but backend experts (Node.js) are also welcome

  • Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL, and working with SQL/NoSQL databases

  • Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows

  • Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a collaborative mindset

  • Excellent communication skills in English
