Bobcats Coding partnered with Humanity Innovation Labs™ to develop our client Blackmagic's vision and create a groundbreaking MVP that evaluates websites primarily for AI visibility rather than traditional search engines.

Through our 6-week Rapid MVP Program, we created the first tool to analyze web content for its likelihood of being referenced in responses from ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other large language models, addressing a critical blind spot in the emerging field of LLM Optimization.

OUR ROLE IN RAPID INNOVATION 

This project exemplified our commitment to rapid, research-driven development through our specialized

Rapid MVP Program. Collaborating with Humanity Innovation Labs™, we demonstrated how cutting-edge product concepts can move from hypothesis to functional prototype in just 6 weeks.

From the outset, our mission was ambitious yet focused: create a tool that could evaluate and score websites specifically for LLM compatibility. The project demanded expertise across multiple emerging technologies:

  • UX/UI Design: Translating complex AI concepts into an intuitive, actionable interface

  • No-Code/Low-Code Development: Leveraging platforms like Lovable to rapidly prototype and iterate

The development journey began with critical insights from user research conducted by Humanity Innovation Labs' researchers. In our initial discovery interviews with marketing and content professionals, we identified key challenges related to current content strategies, AI/LLM adoption, and integration, highlighting clear opportunities to improve AI-driven content workflows:

FROM BRAND VISION TO INSIGHT-DRIVEN DESIGN 

The design process had two critical aspects: building Blackmagic's brand identity from scratch and creating an interface that could communicate sophisticated AI analysis in terms any marketer could understand and act upon.​

Given our tight timeline and the AI-driven nature of the project, we started with Looka's AI-powered brand generation to accelerate the brand identity process, though we quickly realized human designers were needed to fully capture our client's vision.

 

The name "Blackmagic" became our guiding principle, embodying the alchemical nature of LLM optimization. Like ancient alchemists who sought to transmute base metals into gold, Blackmagic transforms hidden digital content into AI-visible treasure. Our Lead Designer embraced this alchemical aesthetic, creating a brand identity that feels both sophisticated and mysterious, perfectly mirroring an industry where complex processes yield seemingly magical results.

​Informed by user feedback, Humanity Innovation Labs™ designed a clean, intuitive user experience that delivers instant LLM insights. Users can input a URL, explore AI-powered feedback, chat for deeper guidance, and schedule expert support.

The final interface features the Blackmagic Score: a comprehensive metric based on 13 dimensions of LLM compatibility alongside keyword optimization insights, brand visibility metrics, and topic coverage analysis. The design prioritized clarity and scalability, laying the groundwork for future growth before handing off to Bobcats Coding for development.​​

USING AI TO BUILD AI

Here's where the story gets truly revolutionary: The Blackmagic app was essentially written by AI, with our senior engineer simply conversing with it to vibe-code the entire application.

We barely wrote a single line of traditional code.
The entire platform was created through natural language conversations with AI in a chat interface.

Why We Chose Lovable Over the Competition

We exclusively used Lovable for development, and the choice was strategic. While many AI coding tools emerged (v0, Bolt, etc.), most try to be general-purpose solutions for everything. Lovable takes a radically different approach: it's hyper-focused on supporting just one technology stack extremely well.

 

This laser focus is Lovable's superpower. Rather than spreading thin across multiple platforms, they've optimized everything for one specific stack. It covers about 70-80% of web development use cases, but for what it does support, it's dramatically superior to competitors because it's built specifically for that purpose.

The Technology Stack That Made Magic Possible

Lovable runs on React frontend with Tailwind CSS, but the backend leverage is where it gets interesting. It uses Supabase, an open-source database platform that's more than just a database. Supabase allows you to write backend processes and background tasks directly within the platform, and it comes with extensive integrations already built-in.

Lightning-Fast Validation and Development

Our development timeline was unprecedented:

  • 1.5 days: Testing Lovable's feasibility for our specific requirements

  • 3 days: Completing the core functionality through AI conversations

The biggest challenge wasn't technical.

It was learning how to communicate effectively with AI to avoid code degradation. Once we mastered the conversational development approach, progress was exponential.

Beyond Basic Functionality

For content scraping capabilities that Lovable couldn't handle natively, we integrated a Scraper API on the backend side. This seamless integration solved our data ingestion needs elegantly and simply, proving that even specialized tools can be extended when necessary.
